MOTOAIRBAG® is tested according to EN 1621-2 2003 "Motorcyclists 'protective clothing against mechanical impact - Part 2: Motorcyclists' back protectors" showed a transmitted force of 0,9 kN. An excellent value when compared with the maximum level required by the norm
For example compared to a normal back protector for motorcyclist, MOTOAIRBAG® offers a strongly higher protection during the impact (10/12 times more).

The airbag devices must be inflated very rapidly, before the motorcyclist could fall against an obstacle, after being unsaddled from the bike.
The protective bag is inflated in 80/85 milliseconds [ms] by a gas generator entirely mechanic which doesn’t use explosive components. It’s used bottle with CO2 in high pressure. It uses the pure cold expansion technology.
The protection area is wider than a common rigid back protector: MOTOAIRBAG® covers the whole spinal column, from the nape to the coccyx.
Means for example that in a fall from the motorcycle at 50 km/h, the rider has MOTOAIRBAG® entirely inflated after only 110 cm.
MOTOAIRBAG® remains in protective condition for more than one minute. Than it deflates gradually.
